I joined NAI Wheelhouse’s leasing and brokerage team in August of 2021. My journey has been filled with working with people all over the world and in multiple areas.
In 2001, I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in communication studies. I spent time working in politics for the Texas Conservative Coalition, then moved to Scotland to work in the restaurant industry. I felt a calling into education and taught public speaking to middle school students in Houston, TX. During that time, I attended Sam Houston State University to obtain my master’s degree in counseling. This led to a 13 year stretch of working as a high school counselor. The last 8 of those 13 years was serving as the high school counselor at Trinity Christian here in Lubbock.
I am married to Elliott Powell, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church here in Lubbock. Together, we have three children.
