    About Us

The Children’s Home of Lubbock is a testament to the power of community and the difference it can make in the lives of vulnerable children. More than just a shelter, it is a place of healing and hope, where children can rebuild their lives and grow. Since 1954, the Home has been a cornerstone of the Lubbock community, providing care for more than 7,300 abused and neglected children, with the mission to help children heal from trauma and work toward a brighter future.

Each day, an average of 90 boys and girls find refuge at the Children’s Home through cottages, foster homes, or independent living housing. These children, referred by the Department of Family Protective Services due to suspected neglect or abuse, receive compassionate care while their cases are addressed by the courts and their biological families.

As a faith-based organization, the Children’s Home of Lubbock believes in God’s guiding presence in its work. Blessed with a modern, debt-free group care campus, the Home continues to grow to meet the evolving needs of its children and community. Every child who comes through its doors leaves knowing they are loved—and that they are never alone.
