Public lecture at the Texas Tech University Chemistry Building Room 049 as part of the 4th Purnendu K. "Sandy" Dasgupta Lecture series. Prof. Jonathan Sweedler of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will give two lectures, a general audience lecture and a technical lecture, describing the studying of cell-to-cell signaling in the brain and how specific biomolecules are distributed in different areas of the brain. The general audience lecture, “Understanding the brain a cell at a time: From new measurement tools to new chemical insight,” will unpack the chemical mosaic of the brain and pinpoint key cellular players in a range of physiological and pathological processes.
