The Condra School for Dyslexia Success, has a mission of helping students learn. Especially students that struggle to read, struggle to understand, and struggle to succeed in a traditional learning atmosphere. The Literacy Fair is an outreach program of the school to help students learn in their own individual way and to help parents identify and intervene on their child’s behalf. The Condra School and the Science Spectrum will be holding the Literacy Fair on Saturday, August 2nd from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Science Spectrum. This *free fair will highlight learning difficulties in young students, and offer fun activities along with learning issues awareness! There will be dyslexia therapists on hand to discuss problems, give mini-dyslexia screenings, and offer guidance on seeking solutions to suspected reading and learning problems. The school is providing this free day of reading, learning and dyslexia awareness to help shed a light on the problem of identifying learning disabilities and different learning styles. Best of all, the event and regular Science Spectrum Museum admission is totally *FREE to all children up to age 12. This is a great opportunity for families that may not regularly attend the Science Spectrum to try it out and see all the great family fun and learning that awaits them! FREE Literacy Fair Activities: Mini Dyslexia Screenings Face Painting Story Telling Activity Booths Free Books *Children up to age 12 will be admitted FREE to the Science Spectrum Museum from 10:00am until 2:00pm only. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult. Regular OMNI Theater rates apply to all individuals.
