Lubbock beer enthusiasts rejoice! Growler USA® Kitchen & Taphouse is pleased to announce the grand opening of the brand’s first Lubbock area location on Friday, August 2, from 4:00pm-12:00am in the Canyon West Shopping Center (6030 Marsha Sharp Freeway). Featuring an eye-popping 100 craft beers on tap, the pub exclusively pours American-made brews that are thoughtfully selected from local and regional breweries, giving guests the ability to try IPAs, ales and pilsners from around the country without ever having to leave Lubbock’s city limits. The grand opening event will feature swag bag giveaways for the first 100 customers as well as onsite support through the weekend from local favorites, The Brewery LBK and Two Docs Brewing Company. Additional breweries onsite over the grand opening weekend include Deep Ellum Brewing Company, Karbach Brewing Company, Rahr & Sons Brewing Company and Wasatch Brewing Company. Guests can enjoy one dollar off any on-tap products of the breweries listed above Friday, August 2, through Sunday, August 4. Diabetes is a cause the pubowners care deeply about and, as such, one dollar from each beer sold Friday through Sunday on grand opening weekend will be donated to the American Diabetes Association’s West Texas Region. Grand opening activities continue through Growler USA Lubbock’s first month in business as the pub’s first 2,000 customers will be given tickets redeemable for different drawings in August. Drawing prizes include a JBL Bluetooth speaker, growlers, t-shirts, ‘Drink Local’ pilsner glasses, vouchers for free growler fills, coozies and bottle openers. Growler USA Lubbock’s extensive tap list is complemented by a newly developed menu of signature lunch and dinner items, featuring twists on American-fare favorites such as the Crafted Fried Chicken Sandwich, Growler Nachos, Brewben and Bromance Burger. In addition to microbrew beer, the pub also serves wines, hard ciders and other non-alcoholic craft beverages. The Lubbock pub is owned and operated by the husband and wife duo of Griffin and Jessica Ice, who are both Texas natives and alumni of Texas Tech University (Class of ’09 and ‘07, respectively).
