About Murvat:
Murvat Musa has been serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Reese Technology Center, a manufacturing, engineering, technology, education, and research business park located at the former Reese Air Force Base, since July 2016 where she manages multiple public and over 20 private stakeholders. Murvat works collaboratively with regional partners, including the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas Tech University, South Plains College, and the South Plains Association of Governments, in furthering her organization’s economic development mission.

 
Murvat has over 25 years’ experience in both the public and private sectors in various leadership roles including executive management positions in such industries as defense, mortgage banking, public administration, and economic development.
Murvat has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from George Mason University, and Master of Public Administration from Texas Tech University; she is also a Certified Public Manager. Murvat has been married to her husband, Edward, for 25 years and together they have three children: Sarah, Helaina, and Jake.
